Ali Ango | CHAIRMAN
A distinguished leader and ex-banker, Ali was the Head of the Treasury and Documentation Division of Dangote Refineries, the largest sugar Refining Company in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Ali is currently the Chairman/CEO of Spring Dairies Nig. Limited, employing thousands of Nigerians directly and indirectly, as well as contributing on a large scale to self sufficiency of Nigeria in the area of nutrition and different layers of the agriculture value chain.
Akeem Oyewale | Chief Executive Officer
Akeem Oyewale is the Chief Executive Officer of Marble Capital Limited. Akeem Oyewale, an Arthur Anderson scholar, has over 20 years of extensive Investment Banking, Credit Marketing, Trade Finance, and Sustainable Finance. He managed the Stanbic IBTC Nigerian Equity Fund, Nigeria’s largest mutual fund, and was responsible for the launch of the Stanbic IBTC Ethical Fund.
Akeem is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He also holds various decorations and awards from various notable institutions.
He holds a Doctorate Degree from Da Vinci School of Business Leadership, an MBA from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, and a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos. He is currently a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Financial Literacy Technical Committee.
Mr. Bello holds an MBA in Finance from the distinguished Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom. A finance expert, Gboyega worked with KPMG and Oceanic International Bank. He was also the CFO to Oando Marketing and a Director of Ebony Oil Ghana. Currently CEO of Skywide Limited, a tech enterprise and construction firm.
Adeboye Adenike | Head, Business Development AND ISLAMIC WILLS
Adenike is a Business Development – Sales and Market Research professional. She has over 17 years’ experience spanning across Strategy, Retail, Private Wealth Management and Islamic Finance institutions in Nigeria and UK.
Prior to joining Marble Capital, Adenike was a Manager – Business Development at Lotus Capital Limited she was part of the team that structured the first Sukuk in Sub Sahara Africa.
Chairman Imam Morufu Onike Abdul-Azeez
The current Chief missioner of Nasru-lahi-l- Fatih (NASFAT) Morufu Onike Abdul-Azeez, is a man of various background, He is a registered Foreign Shariah Adviser, (Securities Commission Malaysia), a PhD Student of Islamic finance at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (University of Science, Malaysia), a certified trainer of Islamic Education Trust/Da’wah Institute of Nigeria in Train-the -Trainers course in Islam, Da’wah, Dialogue and Interfaith Relations.
He is an Islamic religion specialist who bagged a First class Bachelor of Arts Degree in Islamic studies from the National Open University of Nigeria(NOUN), and a Certificate in Islamic and Arabic Language from Al- Falah Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ekperi, Edo State, Nigeria. He holds a certificate in Imamship Course from Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt and successfully completed a Leadership Development from an Islamic Perspective Course conducted by the Caribbean Muslim Network in collaboration with Riphah International University and International Institute of Islamic Thought.
Prof. Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad (Member)
Dr. Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics and a Deputy Director (Training and Linkages) at the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, Bayero University Kano-Nigeria. He holds B.Sc Economics from Bayero University Kano in 2003, Masters and Ph.D in Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2008 and 2012 respectively.
His research interests include Methodology of Islamic Economics, Islamic microfinance, Zakat waqf and poverty reduction. He received the Faculty of Economics Best Student Award for Doctor of Economics in November, 2013. He also received a gold medal at “IIUM Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2013″ for his thesis entitled “Challenges of Microfinance and the Prospects of Developing and Introducing an Islamic Micro-Investment Model in Nigeria.” Dr. Muhammad is recognized among the 30 most influential people on zakat by the World Zakat Forum in 2020. He presented and published several articles in reputable journals on Islamic economics, finance, risk management, entrepreneurial development and microfinance among others. He also received Certificate of Excellence in Research Award presented by Clute Institute, US, for publication in Journal of Applied Business Research, 22nd March, 2014. He was a visiting scholar at Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Islamic Development Bank Jeddah between May and June 2016.
Usthadha Souliyat Damilola Sodjete (Member)
Souliyat Damilola Sodjete is an Islamic Finance professional with over three (3) years of specialized
experience in Islamic capital market and Islamic banking. With a Master’s degree in Islamic Finance Practice
from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) in Malaysia. Her expertise in
Financial and Shari’ah Advisory is further validated by her certifications as a Certified Sharia’ah Adviser and
Auditor (CSAA) and Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA). Her commitment to professional
growth continues with her pursuit of the Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) qualification.
A notable achievement in her career is her contribution to structuring the first private green Sukuk in Africa,
marking a significant milestone in sustainable Islamic finance. Her work has contributed significantly to the
development of Islamic financial instruments and compliance frameworks in Nigeria.
A multilingual with strong proficiency in English and French, she brings a valuable multicultural perspective in
administering functions. Her passion for social, Islamic, and sustainable finance drives her efforts to advance
innovative solutions in the financial sector, particularly in addressing contemporary social issues faced by the
global Muslim community.
